3系列在BMW品牌中有著相當重要的地位,而該車型的精神指標當然就是M3,如今隨著M Performance納入M部門旗下,因此此次的M340i也就是M家族性能二哥。
在此之前我們已於墾丁體驗過330i與目前擔任踏入3系列敲門磚的320i,外觀方面兩車都有配置M Sport套件,而M340i雖身為性能二哥但在造型套件並沒有特立獨行,不過畢竟有一定地位,因此BMW還是替M340i做了微整型,在基於相同的M Sport套件下M340i取消LED霧燈,讓進氣壩換來更寬闊的視覺效果,同時也讓氣勢顯得更加鮮明強列,車尾下護飾板、後視鏡與水箱護罩框也都輔以M車型專屬鈰灰色點綴,而19吋輪圈造型當然也與其它車型不同。

相較於外觀,M340i動力就有天差地遠的配置,3.0升直六渦輪引擎,有著374hp最大馬力與1850rpm即可湧現的51kgm扭力峰值,從靜止加速至百公里也只要4.4秒而已,光看帳面數據就以讓人興奮不已,實際踩下油門,嗚呼!表現就真的是4.4秒該有的反應。

現今的渦輪引擎科技已今非昔比,即使於低轉速就釋放扭力峰值,但只要正常踩踏油門並不會有突兀的加速反應,不過M340i畢竟蘊含著強大能量,所以只要稍微加深油門就可以感受到強勁的推力,若是刻意重踩回饋給你的就是當初在330i車上遺憾的那股澎派能量。

M340i除了外觀有些微不同與更強大的輸出,BMW品牌宗旨操控部分勢必也要有更性能化的配置,因此BMW替M340i裝上更高階的M款跑車電子懸吊,主要目的就是要對抗激烈駕馭所產生的側傾,結果當然可想而知是M款跑車電子懸吊勝出。於是乎在大大小小的山路開啟了美妙旅程,而xDrive更是最佳旅伴,即便改為四輪驅動系統,但在彎中仍有以往我們所熟識的車尾活潑調性,並有著更成熟穩定內斂的態度。不過在這背後還是有些副作用,在對抗側傾之餘伴隨著還算清晰的路感與彈跳,就算在Comfort模式下也只能稍加阻擋懸吊傳遞訊息,但這對Bimmer迷來說這才是M車款該要有的個性,然而說也奇妙,待速度提升後這感受卻漸漸淡去了。

動力輸出與駕馭樂趣雖是M340i的重中之重,但駕駛接觸頻率最高的座艙BMW也沒忽略,在格局配置下M340i與其它車型相同,12.3吋數位儀表與10.25吋iDrive 7.0中控螢幕和無線充電及抬頭顯示器,在視覺氛圍營造與操作便利性做了完美配合。而為彰顯M340i身分地位,儀表平台採用Sensatec皮革,其它多處也使用皮革飾板,加上精緻的作工完全符合豪華車一切標準,而試駕車型也刻意挑選棕色Vernasca真皮座椅搭配,這也讓豪華氛圍向上提升。
